kitround Education brings the circular economy to life in the classroom.
Delivered by the kitround team, our interactive workshops encourage children to explore sports kit sustainability, waste and fair access to sport.
Powered by kitround360, our proprietary impact index, the programme turns big ideas like carbon footprints and the circular economy into hands-on activities, games and stories children genuinely connect with.
Why it matters
Most sports kit doesn’t stay in play for long. A typical sports top has a shelf life of 10 months, and an estimated 100,000 tonnes of sportswear ends up in landfill each year.
Behind those numbers are real costs:
- Carbon released in production
- Water consumed for every garment
- Money families spend on constant replacements
This cycle is wasteful and unnecessary. kitround360 exists to show the impact and the opportunity.
The truth is, there’s more than enough kit to meet demand. The challenge isn’t supply, it’s circulation. By keeping sportswear in play for longer, we cut emissions, conserve resources and reduce barriers to participation.
“Producing one pair of football boots creates 13kg of carbon emissions — equivalent to driving 50km in a petrol car.”
Our 2026 pledge
Bold targets. Real accountability.
Every number tracked through kitround 360
“This partnership is about more than just sports; it’s about creating access, building confidence, and giving young people the tools they need to grow both on and off the field.”
Proof in action
