kitround keeps sports kit in play. Discover the story behind the B Corp building the operating ecosystem for sports kit reselling, redistributing and donating.
We reduce waste, cut costs for families, making sport accessible for all.
Why kitround exists
kitround was founded to solve the problem found in many clubs and family homes: cupboards full of outgrown sports kit, barely worn.
Sport produces tonnes of usable kit that goes to waste, and an enormous number of people priced out of participating. kitround connects the two.
£14bn of kit is bought in the UK each year, 30% discarded within 12 months, while cost is the single biggest barrier keeping children out of sport.
kitround tackles waste affordability and accountability at once.
How the ecosystem work
kitround is built not only for kit, but for the communities it supports, one platform, four connected channels.
Families buy and sell quality pregamed sports kit on the marketplace; clubs, schools, universities and PTAs raise funds through their own branded kitshops; corporates, brands and governing bodies run kitdrop campaigns, with donated kit matched to schools that need it most through kitmatch.
kitround360 is our proprietary impact index, measures the environmental and social impact of every item that moves through the platform.
Every transaction keeps kit in circulation and builds stronger connections in grassroots sport.
“Sport has an incredible power to connect people. Every donated shirt, every reused boot, every game played with kitround kit keeps that circle of connection alive.”
Wendy Carter, kitround Co-Founder
Community Impact
Clubs, corporates and community groups are already unlocking value through kitround kitshops, from England Netball and British Rowing to grassroots clubs and Universities. By selling kit no longer needed, they raise vital funds for local projects and give families affordable access to quality kit.
We are proud to be part of this shared journey, where every item of kit contributes to a bigger vision: accessible, inclusive sport for all.
