December is a busy time for grassroots sport, and a tough one for many families and clubs. Rising costs make it harder to take part, just as demand peaks.
That’s why we’re running 12 sports of kitmas: a simple way to spotlight different sports and communities across kitround, and to make it easier to find affordable kit when it matters most.
What is 12 sports of kitmas?
Across December, each day shines a light on a different sport on kitround. We feature relevant kit, highlight partner communities, and show the range already in play — from teamwear and merchandise to leisurewear and equipment.
It’s deliberately simple. No heavy mechanics. Just a shared moment to celebrate sport, pass kit on, and help more people stay active.
What we’ve seen so far
So far we’ve featured Youth Sport Trust, Football, Tennis, Cricket and Gym & Fitness, with Foxhills and Volleyball rounding out the first week.
We’ve already seen a real mix of kit finding new homes, including some great signed items, alongside everyday pieces being passed on and reused. Partners have been sharing their stories in different ways, and communities have been exploring what’s available across the platform.
The range of kit on kitround
One of the strengths of kitround is the breadth of kit in play. You’ll find official merchandise, teamwear, training and leisurewear, as well as specialist equipment — for individuals, clubs, schools and community programmes alike.
Keeping kit in play means making all of it accessible.
Working together
12 sports of kitmas is a collective effort. It brings together partners, ambassadors and communities with a shared aim: helping people access sport more affordably, especially during challenging economic times.
It’s been encouraging to see how many people, including ambassadors like Henry and Kyle, who have been actively supporting tennis kit, are keen to get involved and help spread the word.
What’s still to come
There are more spotlight days ahead, more kit to discover, and a few extra moments still to come, including a new kitshop landing on kitround before Christmas!
If you’re curious, take a look at what’s live already and keep an eye out as kitmas continues.
Together, we can keep kit in play, and keep more people moving this December.
