Who we are?

British Dodgeball is the National Governing Body for dodgeball in the UK. Our vision is to increase participation across the UK, expanding a self-sustaining organisation with more capacity to lead, advocate, and create meaningful, long-lasting impact.

Why we partnered with kitround

Every year, good kit goes to waste whilst young dodgeballers in the community and in schools are unable to access the equipment they need to get started. Partnering with kitround helps us reduce kit waste in dodgeball, enables players, clubs and British Dodgeball to recycle used kit, and supports our sustainability goals as an organisation, keeping kit in play so more people can take part.

Our objectives together

Through our collaboration, we aim to:

  • Resell surplus dodgeball kit through kitround.com, so good kit stays in use.
  • List and share donated items via the British Dodgeball kitshop, so players and clubs can access affordable kit.
  • Support grassroots dodgeball across the whole of the UK by channelling proceeds back into the community.
  • Install kitbins at major events,, so donating great pregamed kit is simple and visible.

Our first campaign launches this season with collection and recommerce activity timed around our major events. Every donation helps unlock access to dodgeball while reducing waste.

“What a fantastic opportunity to increase the accessibility of dodgeball and demonstrate how the whole community can increase participation at the same time as reducing waste.”

Ben Hoyle, CEO, British Dodgeball

What's next?

Our journey with kitround is only just beginning. Next, we’ll build year-round momentum by expanding collections across more events, strengthening the British Dodgeball kitshop, and making it easier for clubs and schools to keep kit moving to where it’s needed most.

Why we exist

In the UK an estimated 100,000 tonnes of sportswear ends up in landfill each year.
